Cambridge Programme and Education System
Orkhon Empathy School creates a favorable educational environment, paying special attention to students character development and academic progress, valuing relationships built on mutual trust. Following the standard curriculum for basic and complete secondary education, our team of highly skilled Mongolian and international teachers has consistently helped students achieve top positions in provincial, regional, national and international olympiads in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, social studies, Mongolian language, history, and geography.
To provide students with aesthetic knowledge, arts and cultural education, and to discover and develop their talents, we offer clubs in calligraphy, chess, robotics, table tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, social welfare, public speaking, and poetry. Students living in the dormitory develop exceptional skills in independent study, teamwork, and revision through their structured daily schedule, which positively impacts their academic success.
Orkhon Empathy School was the first in the region to implement the International Programme. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the school has 42 professional teachers (35 Mongolian, 7 international from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Fiji, Tajikistan, Pakistan). A total of 560 students (299 female – 53.3%, 262 male – 46.7%) study in 23 classes from grades 6-12. With the Cambridge International Programme, Mathematics, English, Science, ICT, Business Studies, and Global Perspectives are taught in English and Mongolian under the international programme, while Mongolian Language, Mongolian Script, Literature, Social Studies, Geography, Design Technology, Drawing, Fine Arts, History, Music, and Civic Ethics are taught in Mongolian under the National Core Curriculum.
Every year, the school principal advisory council, department heads, professional teachers, social workers, psychologists, and child development officers review reports and feedback to incorporate them into the academic year activity plan. The training plan is developed annually, monthly, and quarterly, with results reported to the principal advisory council and teacher council meetings. Special plans and operational guidelines are developed for current and pressing issues, and internal monitoring and self-evaluation are conducted regularly.
Implementation and results of Order A/511: The school has 5 methodological departments — English Language, Mongolian Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Humanities — that organize, manage, and supervise teaching and learning activities.
